THE PART OTHER BRANDS SKIP
Here's what actually happens when you use a dropper. You part your hair once, squeeze, and the oil hits a strip of skin maybe two inches long. Then you rub, and the rubbing spreads it — mostly sideways, along the hair shafts, which are absorbent and thirsty and right there. By the time you've finished, most of what you paid for is sitting on the lengths where it does nothing except make you look like you need to wash your hair.
The scalp is a curved surface with roughly a hundred thousand openings in it, and a dropper is a tool for putting liquid in a straight line.
Follura moves the oil through the head as the teeth travel, so it comes out at the skin, in rows, across the whole scalp — while the kneading works it in and the red light and microcurrent run at the same time. Same oil you already own. It just arrives somewhere useful.
THE ONE REAL DIFFERENCE
Nearly every premium device in this category has a spherical head — a dome you press against your scalp. It photographs beautifully. It also has a geometry problem.
Your scalp is a curve. When you press a sphere against a curve, only the middle makes proper contact. The teeth around the rim angle away from the skin as both surfaces fall off in opposite directions — so the outer red light aims into the air, the outer needles skim, and the outer oil outlets run down hair instead of scalp. You're using the middle 40% of a head you paid for.
Follura's head is a flat disc: a round face with straight side walls and a flat back plate. Pressed against the same curve, the face stays in roughly one plane, so the rim teeth are doing the same job as the center teeth. That's it. That's the whole difference, and it's the only hardware claim on this page we'd defend in an argument.
Round face. Flat profile. It's a small piece of geometry and it's the reason the whole face of the head is working instead of just the middle of it.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX
Follura$99
Job: get all four functions onto the whole scalp.
Job: keep it working for years, not months.
NIGHTS 1–14 · GETTING USED TO IT
The tingle is unfamiliar and you'll fidget with the intensity for the first few sessions until you find your level. What most people notice in this stretch is immediate and physical: the scalp feels looser after ten minutes, the way any muscle does after it's been worked. That's the session doing its job, not a long-term change.
NIGHTS 15–45 · THE ROUTINE SETS
This is the stretch where devices like this usually die — the novelty is gone and the habit isn't set yet. If you get here, the oil habit is established and you'll start noticing the scalp-comfort difference between an on-week and an off-week — less tightness by evening, less itch at the part line, hair that stays cleaner longer after an oil night.
NIGHTS 46–90 · THE HONEST WINDOW
Ninety nights is roughly how long it takes to fairly judge a scalp routine, which is exactly why the guarantee runs that long instead of 30 days. By now you know whether your scalp genuinely feels better and whether the ten minutes earned its place. If it didn't, send it back — the window is still open.

RINSE IT CLEAN
What it is:LED red light emitting in the 620–625nm band, positioned between the comb teeth so it reaches the scalp surface directly.
The numbers:620–625nm wavelength
Straight talk:this is our published specification. We are not attaching another brand's clinical study to it — theirs used a different wavelength on a different device, and borrowing it would be dishonest.
What it is:Low-level electrical muscle stimulation delivered through metal needles set among the comb teeth, at three user-selected intensities.
The numbers:3 intensity levels
Straight talk:start on green, always. Place the head on the scalp before increasing intensity — going straight to yellow is the fastest way to have an unpleasant first experience and put it in a drawer.
What it is:A motorised kneading action through the comb teeth, in three patterns indicated by white flashes: one flash slow, two flashes fast, three flashes alternating.
The numbers:3 modes · white indicator flashes 1 / 2 / 3
Straight talk:alternating is where most people land after the first week.
What it is:A refillable internal reservoir that releases your essential oil through the head as the teeth travel across the scalp.
The numbers:refillable · rinse-clean
Straight talk:rinse the reservoir and the liquid outlet with clean water when a fill runs out. Skip this and it blocks, and a blocked reservoir is not a warranty claim.
What it is:A round-faced head with straight vertical side walls and a flat back plate — a disc, not a sphere.
The numbers:device 9 × 5.5 × 22 cm · 300g
Straight talk:this is the one hardware difference we'd argue about. Everything else in the category is comparable.
What it is:Rechargeable 1500 mAh lithium battery with USB-C charging and a sealed port under a rubber plug.
The numbers:1500 mAh · 120 minutes · USB-C · red indicator = low, pulsing red = charging, solid green = full
Straight talk:if the battery is too low to power on, the red light flashes rapidly five times when you press the button. That's the device telling you to charge it, not a fault.
What it is:An IPX7-rated sealed housing with a removable rubber plug over the charging port.
The numbers:IPX7 · rubber port plug included
Straight talk:the plug must be seated before water touches it. Rinsing with an open charging port is how you kill an IPX7 device.
What it is:Deliberately absent. There is no heat function in this device.
Straight talk:if the device ever becomes abnormally hot, stop using it immediately and contact us — that's a fault, not a feature.

PUBLISHED IN FULL, NOT BURIED
Most brands put this in 8pt type on the last page of the manual. We're putting it on the sales page, because a device that runs microcurrent and light on your head should tell you up front who shouldn't be using it. If you're on this list, don't buy Follura — talk to a doctor instead.
